Lanjarón builds new million-liter water reservoir
The Lanjarón City Council has completed the construction of a new municipal drinking water reservoir with a capacity exceeding one million liters. This infrastructure is designed to strengthen the local water supply and improve the municipality's ability to meet growing demand.
The project is part of the ‘Lanjarón Pueblo del Agua: Ecoturismo en el Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada’ Tourism Sustainability Plan. It aims to ensure adequate service for residents and manage increased water needs during peak tourist seasons. The project involved an investment of 102,182.49 euros, which was 100% funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU funds as part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
