LaNorris Sellers completes final degree requirement via internship

South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback LaNorris Sellers is completing his final academic requirement through an internship at The Par Tee Golf Center in West Columbia. A senior sport and entertainment management major, Sellers is set to graduate in December and currently has no traditional classes on his schedule because the six-credit internship serves as his final coursework.

The situation drew scrutiny from U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, who suggested on social media that star athletes should be more actively enrolled in classes. However, university officials clarified that Sellers is enrolled and the internship is a standard academic practicum necessary for his degree completion. Sellers previously interned with a construction firm involved in stadium renovations, citing an interest in facility management and architecture.
