LaNorris Sellers to face Alabama for third consecutive season

South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers is set to face the Alabama Crimson Tide defense for the third consecutive season this Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This occurrence is considered rare in modern college football due to the prevalence of the transfer portal and changes in SEC scheduling.

In previous matchups against Alabama, Sellers has accumulated 460 passing yards, 86 rushing yards, and four total touchdowns. During his first season as a starter, he led a late-game effort that included a 31-yard touchdown pass to Nyck Harbor, though Alabama ultimately secured a 27-25 victory after an interception.

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer noted Sellers’ improvement as a passer and his physical threat as a runner. Alabama safety Keon Sabb remarked that the familiarity between the players on both sides of the ball should make for a competitive matchup.
