LANPAC 2026 Symposium in Honolulu Highlights Indo‑Pacific Security Partnerships

The 2026 Land Forces Pacific (LANPAC) Symposium and Exposition opened on May 12 at the Sheraton Waikiki in Honolulu. The event gathered senior U.S. military leaders, government officials, industry representatives and international partners from across the Indo‑Pacific region.

U.S. Army General Xavier Brunson, commander of United Nations Command, ROK/US Combined Forces Command and U.S. Forces Korea, delivered a keynote stressing that deterrence in the Indo‑Pacific depends on industrial endurance, regional sustainment and allied integration. He cited the “Fortress Chain” model in the Republic of Korea as a blueprint for a regional industrial architecture that enables rapid repair, maintenance and production of combat power close to the point of need.

General Ronald P. Clark, commander of U.S. Army Pacific, introduced the keynote and highlighted the importance of forward‑positioned repair capabilities, advanced manufacturing and stronger military‑industrial cooperation among allies. Throughout LANPAC 2026, participants discussed building resilient sustainment networks to support operations across the vast theater and to preserve peace through collective readiness.
