Lanús implements urban renewal and cultural infrastructure projects

The Municipality of Lanús has completed the transformation of a public space in Valentín Alsina, located at the intersection of Coronel Sayos and Yatay streets. The site, which had functioned as a landfill for over 13 years, has been renovated for community use. The project included leveling the terrain, installing four double benches, planting eight trees, and adding waste bins and signage. The work was coordinated with Galvanizados Sanz S.A., which handled sidewalk construction and curb repairs. A mural is also planned for Yatay Street.

Additionally, Mayor Julián Álvarez announced the commencement of renovation works for the historic Amado Nervo Theater in Gerli. After being closed for 70 years, the municipality has regularized the property's ownership and launched a public tender for the first of three planned stages. The project aims to preserve the building's heritage and facade while integrating new architecture. The new cultural complex will feature a cinema and theater hall, technical areas, dressing rooms, classrooms for artistic training, and spaces for music, dance, and visual arts.
