Lanús inaugurates new monitoring center at Parque Central Las Colonias

The Lanús government has inaugurated a new monitoring center at Parque Central Las Colonias as part of its Integral Citizen Security Plan. The facility operates 24/7 and features a video wall for integrated image visualization. It provides real-time supervision for 31 cameras within the park, nine cameras at EES N.º 8, and 18 cameras at EEST N.º 5.

The security initiative includes the installation of five security totems in strategic areas, alarm systems for the local secondary schools, and the construction of two new illuminated safe paths with permanent municipal patrols.

Under the administration of Mayor Julián Álvarez, the city has expanded its security presence by tripling patrols through the acquisition of 147 vehicles and 38 motorcycles, and hiring over 450 agents. Other components of the plan include the launch of the Lanús Municipal Police School, the installation of over 470 neighborhood alarms, and the implementation of a 'Digital Ring' featuring more than 40 license plate recognition cameras and 10 portals at major entry and exit points.
