Trelew infrastructure: Chubut advances paving via Plan Galina

The Chubut provincial government is advancing significant infrastructure projects in Trelew through the ‘Plan Galina’. Governor Ignacio Torres and Trelew Mayor Gerardo Merino recently inspected the paving of Oris de Roa Avenue, a strategic 3,870-meter stretch between 25 de Mayo and Capitán Murga streets. This project aims to improve connectivity and urban circulation within the city.

In addition to the current works, the province has announced a new tender to pave more than 2,000 linear meters, equivalent to over 20 new blocks. These works will be entirely funded by provincial resources and include soil preparation, drainage systems, and signaling to ensure durability and safety.

Separately, the Asociación Cultural Sanmartiniana de Trelew has inaugurated a special exhibition at the Casa de Gobierno in Rawson. The display features a replica of the ‘Sable Corvo’, the iconic sword of General José de San Martín, which will be on view throughout the week in honor of the 176th anniversary of the Liberator's passing.
