Police seize cocaine, paco and $2,100 in Lanús drug raid
On 11 June 2026, police forces in the Lanús district of Argentina carried out simultaneous raids on two residences as part of a drug‑trafficking investigation. The operations, led by the Tactical Operational Group of Comisaría 5 and supported by special units from the FOE, GAD and cavalry divisions, seized 105 doses (43.6 g) of cocaine and 87 wraps (48.6 g) of paco, along with a digital scale, three mobile phones, a memory card and US$2,100 in cash.
Two women were arrested – a 37‑year‑old at Murguiondo 2900 and a 41‑year‑old at Osorio and 25 May – and were charged with possession of narcotics for commercial purposes. After the searches, a saturation and identity‑check operation was deployed around the affected streets to deter retaliation and secure the neighbourhood. Additional raids in nearby Villa Jardín were conducted by the Illicit Drug Traffic Investigation Division, with results pending.
