Lanterns: John Stewart's new role and soundtrack release

The first season of the HBO series ‘Lanterns’ has concluded, establishing a new direction for John Stewart within the DC Universe. Following the finale, the character has embraced a new identity, declaring himself the Green Lantern of Earth and dedicating himself to the Green Lantern mission rather than the Guardians.

In the season finale, Stewart utilized a forged power battery provided by Sinestro. This decision carries potential risks, as the battery contains yellow impurities and the use of the ring may cause the Hal Jordan hologram to be replaced during a new scan.

To complement the series, Grammy-winning composer Stephanie Economou has released a companion soundtrack album. The score draws inspiration from 1990s grunge, garage, and electronic music, with stylistic nods to artists such as Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, and Nick Cave.
