Lanterns series clarifies DCU Green Lantern timeline

The series Lanterns is clarifying the timeline of the DC Universe (DCU) regarding the succession of Green Lanterns. While the show features flashbacks to 2016, the DCU follows a contemporary timeline where events align with their release years.

Recent developments explain the presence of multiple Green Lanterns. Hal Jordan was the first Green Lantern on Earth but lost his ring in 2016, which was subsequently taken by Jon Stewart. Following this, the ring was returned to the Guardians, who then assigned it to Guy Gardner. As Jon Stewart is expected to appear in Man of Tomorrow, it is anticipated he will become the third Green Lantern by the end of the series.

Additionally, fan theories regarding Hal Jordan’s mysterious storage box in episode 6 suggest it contains pocket dimension technology. While the box requires voice activation, trailer footage for episode 7 hints that a hologram may assist in opening it. Speculation suggests the box might contain a paper bag holding Hal’s former uniform, potentially serving as a final gift to Jon Stewart.
