Lanterns enters final episodes as John Stewart investigates Hal Jordan’s death

The HBO series ‘Lanterns’ is entering its final stages, with the seventh episode, ‘The Jordan Boys’ Legacy’, focusing on the investigation into Hal Jordan’s death. The episode features flashbacks to Hal’s childhood in 1975 and introduces a ‘Halogram’—a digital consciousness of Hal Jordan retrieved from his power ring. This allows John Stewart to work alongside a version of his former partner to uncover mysteries involving a mysterious lockbox and a portal to another planet.

The series, part of James Gunn’s DC Universe, has also confirmed the existence of Batman within this shared continuity through character dialogue. As the season approaches its finale on October 4, the narrative is shifting from a grounded mystery in Nebraska to a more cosmic scale, involving the Manhunter and potential connections to the wider Lantern Corps and the character Sinestro.
