LanTu Chase Light S electric SUV unveiled with Huawei autonomous system

On July 17, LanTu Motor released a silhouette of the global ambassador for its new Chase Light S electric SUV, sparking online speculation that the role may be filled by actor Yang Yang. The vehicle measures 5 050 mm × 1 998 mm × 1 656 mm with a 3 000 mm wheelbase and will be equipped with Huawei’s QianKun ADS 5 high‑level driver‑assist system. It features a Huawei 896‑line LiDAR capable of detecting a 14 cm obstacle at 120 m and supports functions such as NOA high‑speed navigation and memory parking.

Powertrain options include a rear‑wheel‑drive version with a 300 kW single motor and an all‑wheel‑drive version combining a 175 kW front motor with a 300 kW rear motor. LanTu chairman Lu Fang marked the launch with a statement: “Six years after the name ‘LanTu’ was first released, we have grown from two characters to a global brand, from one model to seven, and earned forty‑thousand units of trust.”
