Automotive manufacturers unveil new analog-focused supercars at Monterey Car Week

During Monterey Car Week, several high-end automotive manufacturers unveiled new models emphasizing analog driving experiences.

Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) introduced the S1, a touring-focused supercar inspired by the legendary McLaren F1. The S1 features a central driving position, a three-seat configuration, and a 4.2-liter naturally aspirated Cosworth V12 engine producing approximately 681 to 690 horsepower. Unlike the track-oriented S1 LM, the S1 is designed for road usability with a six-speed manual transmission, improved sound insulation, and a slightly softer suspension. Production is limited to 64 units.

McLaren Automotive revealed the McL 6GT concept, a project that aims to revive the spirit of the M6GT. This model marks a significant return to manual transmissions for the brand, a feature not seen in their road cars since the McLaren F1 in 1992. The 6GT concept utilizes a V8 engine, hydraulic steering, and a carbon fiber monocoque, with production versions expected around 2028.

Czinger Vehicles also presented the 21C Spyder, a roofless version of their hybrid hypercar. The model features a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors, delivering 1,250 horsepower. Production of the Spyder is limited to 30 units.
