Lanzarote features the world's longest seaside promenade
Lanzarote, a Spanish island, is home to the world's longest seaside promenade, stretching over 26 kilometers. The path connects four municipalities, running from Puerto del Carmen to Costa Teguise, and passes through Playa Honda and the island's capital, Arrecife.
The route is largely flat, making it accessible for walking, and typically takes five to six hours to complete without extended stops. The landscape is characterized by a mix of sandy beaches and dark volcanic rocks, a result of the island's volcanic history. Due to its unique natural features, Lanzarote was designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1993.
The island maintains a mild climate, with temperatures reaching approximately 20 degrees Celsius even during the winter months.
