Lao Bao border gate hosts drug prevention training

The Customs Investigation Department, in coordination with Customs Sub-department Region IX, held a training conference on drug prevention and law dissemination at the Lao Bao border gate in Quang Tri province on October 9, 2026.

Approximately 250 delegates attended, including customs officials, representatives from import-export and logistics enterprises, local workers, and residents. The training also featured lecturers from the People's Police Academy and the Drug Crime Investigation Department (C04) under the Ministry of Public Security.

The initiative is part of a national target program for drug prevention through 2030. It aims to strengthen cooperation between customs, businesses, and the local community to proactively identify and prevent drug-related crimes at this key border crossing between Vietnam and Laos.
