Lao Cai advances digital transformation and science management

Lao Cai province is advancing its digital transformation and scientific management through new administrative and regulatory measures. Between June 15 and September 14, the province received 231,880 administrative procedure dossiers, with 214,656 submitted online. The rate of dossiers processed on time or ahead of schedule reached 98.56%.

To support this digital shift, the province is implementing a 90-day campaign to build shared databases across various sectors. Notable progress includes the completion of databases for crop cultivation, livestock, fisheries, and OCOP products by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. In education, the synchronization rate of digital school reports with the Ministry of Education and Training's database has reached 93%.

Additionally, the Lao Cai People's Committee has issued new regulations for managing science, technology, and innovation programs funded by the state budget. The Department of Science and Technology will act as the primary coordinator throughout the lifecycle of these tasks, from selection and funding to evaluation and contract liquidation. This decentralized management approach aims to link budget allocations directly to practical outcomes and product efficiency.
