Lao Cai prepares for first provincial sports festival in 2026

Authorities in Lao Cai province are finalizing preparations for the first provincial sports festival scheduled for 2026. The organizing committee and the provincial Culture, Arts, and Sports Center have conducted inspections and upgrades across various venues to ensure they meet professional competition standards.

Six sports disciplines will be featured. Specific venues include the Vietnam Apatit Company Gymnasium for volleyball, the provincial Culture, Arts, and Sports Center Stadium for athletics, and the provincial talent training center for table tennis. Pickleball will be held at the Lao Cai Pickleball Court, while badminton and shuttlecock kicking will take place at the provincial multi-purpose gymnasium.

To prevent scheduling conflicts and allow athletes to focus on competition, organizers have assigned dedicated locations for each sport. This strategic layout is intended to help the organizing committee manage the competition schedule more effectively.
