Lao Cai reviews emulation and commendation work with central delegation

A Central Emulation and Commendation Council inspection delegation, led by Be Xuan Truong, met with the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee on September 25 to review emulation and commendation activities for 2026.

Lao Cai reported that it has implemented the Law on Emulation and Commendation and established regulations for various emulation groups following administrative mergers. The province currently manages 21 emulation groups and 14 clusters. Efforts have focused on training officials, with eight training sessions held for 512 leaders and civil servants over two years.

The province has also prioritized commendations for small collectives and direct laborers, with rates reaching 72% in 2025 and 69% in 2026. Additionally, the province has processed 798 dossiers for the Glory Volunteer Youth Medal, with 393 files completed for submission to the President.
