Lao Cai traffic accident leaves two injured

A head-on collision occurred between a sleeper bus and a passenger car on National Highway 32 in Cat Thinh commune, Lao Cai province. The accident took place around 8:25 PM on October 30 at kilometer 179+850, near a left curve.

The collision resulted in heavy damage to both vehicles, with initial property damage estimated at approximately 100 million VND. Two people, the bus driver Do Xuan Sinh and an individual named Ma Minh Khoi, sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Authorities reported that the driver of the passenger car showed no signs of alcohol or drug impairment during initial checks. The bus driver was unable to be tested immediately due to his medical condition. An investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash.
