Lao National Television (LNTV) and MSG Media Co., Ltd. have officially launched ‘New Rising Star 2026’, a nationwide singing competition in Laos. The program aims to discover and develop new musical talent while promoting Lao arts, culture, and identity.

Open to singers aged 15 to 40, the contest offers a total prize pool exceeding 760 million Kip. The winner will receive 200 million Kip in cash, a trophy, a certificate, an artist contract, and a three-month training scholarship in China. The first and second runners-up will also receive cash prizes, contracts, and training scholarships in China. The competition is scheduled to be broadcast on LNTV Channel 3 in late 2026.
