Lao-Vietnamese Friendship University project commences in Vientiane

The Lao-Vietnamese Friendship University project has officially commenced construction in Vientiane, Laos. The project was inaugurated on October 8 by Lao Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith and Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung.

Spanning 50 hectares, the university is designed to accommodate 4,000 students. The initiative is a result of high-level agreements between the two nations and aims to strengthen the strategic partnership through educational and training cooperation. The Lao government has allocated the land in the capital city for this modern, high-quality institution.

Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training and Laos' Ministry of Education and Sports will collaborate to ensure the project meets its scheduled timeline and quality standards. Officials described the university as a symbolic work that will connect knowledge and foster friendship between the two countries for future generations.
