Lao–China Investment and Trade Promotion Conference held in Guangxi

The Lao–China Investment and Trade Promotion Conference was held on September 18, 2026, at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangxi, China. Presided over by Standing Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith, the event gathered 120 dignitaries and business leaders to discuss leveraging Laos’s logistics potential to develop value chains in manufacturing, agriculture, and industry.

The conference highlighted investment opportunities in Sekong Province and coincided with the 5th anniversary of the ASEAN–China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The meeting also marked the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Lao PDR and the PRC, as well as the 2026 Laos–China Year of Friendship, aiming to promote opportunities under the upgraded ASEAN–China Free Trade Area 3.0 (ACFTA 3.0).
