Laphroaig reintroduces 15-year-old single malt whisky

Laphroaig has announced the permanent return of its 15-year-old single malt expression to its lineup. This marks the first time in a decade that this specific age statement has been widely available in the United States.

The 15-year-old whisky, which was originally released in 1985 and saw a limited release ten years ago for the distillery's 200th anniversary, is aged in bourbon barrels. It is designed to sit between the core 10-year-old and the 18-year-old expressions, offering softer, richer, and oakier notes while maintaining the brand's signature smoky profile, including flavors of iodine, seaweed, and campfire.

The distillery, located on the island of Islay off the coast of Scotland, is known for its heavily peated whiskies. The release of the 15-year-old coincides with the 15th anniversary of the whiskey club Women Who Whiskey, a partnership intended to expand the brand's appeal.
