Laprida police seize over one kilogram of marijuana

Police in Laprida, Argentina, seized more than one kilogram of marijuana during a preventive patrol near Primary School No. 258 ‘Pedro José Frías’.

Officers from the Laprida Subcomisaría intercepted a man acting suspiciously at a bus stop. When the individual refused to show the contents of his black backpack, authorities consulted the duty prosecutor, who ordered a search in the presence of a civilian witness.

Inside the bag, police found three transparent bags containing a vegetable substance that the individual identified as marijuana. Field tests conducted by the Dangerous Drugs Section of Frías confirmed the substance was marijuana, weighing over one kilogram. The prosecutor has ordered the formal seizure of the drugs and the continuation of the investigation.
