LaQuan Smith debuts Spring/Summer 2027 collection at NYFW

Designer LaQuan Smith presented his Spring/Summer 2027 collection at New York Fashion Week, held at the Brookfield Place Mall. The collection marks a strategic shift toward versatile, day-to-night pieces, moving away from the designer's traditional focus on nightlife-centric attire. Smith reported a significant sales increase of 70 to 72 percent following his previous season, attributing this to improved fits and more accessible price points.

A key highlight of the show was a creative partnership with Paramount Pictures to celebrate the film ‘Children of Blood and Bone’. This capsule collection includes three exclusive looks inspired by the movie, which will be available through Moda Operandi. The event saw attendance from the film's cast and crew.

The collection featured a mix of textures and materials, including denim, poplin, silk faille, and embossed python. Rapper Yung Miami also drew attention at the event, appearing in a custom sheer black LaQuan Smith dress paired with Cartier jewelry.
