L'Aquila announces support for family caregivers

The Municipality of L'Aquila has issued a public notice to provide financial and practical support for family caregivers. The initiative, managed by the Department of Social Policies, aims to assist those caring for individuals with severe disabilities.

Eligible applicants must be residents of L'Aquila and provide proof of a cohabiting relative with a severe disability. To qualify, the caregiver's family ISEE must not exceed 36,000 euros. The benefits are designed to fund relief services, including continuous assistance, substitution care, or temporary respite stays.

Applications must be submitted online through the municipal dedicated platform by November 2, 2026. The specific amount of support will be determined based on the intensity of the care required, available social and healthcare networks, and the family's ISEE status.
