L'Aquila hosts XI International Day of Forgiveness

L'Aquila hosted the XI International Day of Forgiveness on October 10, 2026. The event took place at the Auditorium of the Guardia di Finanza School “Vincenzo Giudice” and featured various speakers, including Daniel Lumera, the day's founder, and Professor Izzeldin Abuelaish, a physician from Gaza appointed as an Ambassador of Forgiveness.

During the proceedings, L'Aquila was proclaimed a “Città Gentile” (Kind City) with the participation of Vice Mayor Raffaele Daniele. The event included musical performances by Cella Musica, a group composed of inmates and prison police officers from Siena, and a prayer for peace involving flags from various nations.

Nico Caiazza, president of the La Lumera ODV association, expressed satisfaction with the event's success and thanked local partners and the school's command for their support.
