L’Aquila judge fails to rule on family reunification before Ferragosto

During the Italian holiday of Ferragosto, Catherine Birmingham and Nathan Trevallion remain separated from their three children. Despite efforts to reunite the family for the August holiday, a judge in L’Aquila has not issued a ruling.

Legal representatives submitted documentation to the juvenile court in June, including evidence of home renovations and psychological assessments, to argue that the children should spend the summer holidays with their parents. However, the presiding judge went on vacation without making a decision on the case.
