L’Aquila to host 34th Paolo Borsellino National Award
The 34th edition of the Paolo Borsellino National Award is scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2026, at the Scuola Ispettori e Sovrintendenti della Guardia di Finanza in L’Aquila. The ceremony aims to promote the culture of legality, justice, and anti-mafia memory.
Eighteen witnesses of legality will be honored during the event. Notable attendees and awardees include Manfredi Borsellino, a State Police official and son of the late magistrate; Liliana Segre; Prosecutor Melillo; and Carabinieri Commander Salvatore Luongo. The ceremony will be hosted by journalists Alessio Viola and Alessia Di Giovacchino, with actor Roberto Pedicini reading the award citations.
The initiative, organized by Ets Società Civile with the patronage of the Abruzzo Region and the City of L’Aquila, treats anti-mafia memory as a living heritage intended to educate younger generations on civic responsibility and public ethics.
