Lara State hosts musical exchange and Cervantes Festival

The Lara State Government and the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory Foundation (FCVES) have launched the second edition of the ‘Puentes Musicales’ project. Running from September 14 to 28, 2026, this educational and artistic exchange program is supported by German institutions, including the Goethe-Institut and the German Embassy in Venezuela. The initiative features masterclasses in oboe, clarinet, and flute, chamber music workshops, and instrument maintenance led by Venezuelan luthiers.

Simultaneously, the Spanish Honorary Consulate for Lara, Portuguesa, and Yaracuy has announced the Cervantes Festival, beginning September 21. This edition honors the 90th anniversary of the death of Spanish poet and playwright Federico García Lorca. The festival includes academic programming, literary discussions, and theatrical performances, such as a production of ‘Bodas de sangre’ at the Ambrosio Oropeza Auditorium.

Both initiatives aim to strengthen technical musical training and promote cultural diffusion through various public presentations, workshops, and interactive digital content across the region.
