Laramie High School football faces Kelly Walsh in season finale

The fourth-ranked Laramie High School football team is set to host the Kelly Walsh Trojans at Deti Stadium for their regular-season finale. The game, which coincides with Senior Night, carries significant implications for the Plainsmen, who currently hold a 4-4 record.

A victory could secure playoff seeding and a regular-season winning record, milestones the program has not achieved since 2000. To guarantee a home playoff game, Laramie requires a win on Friday and a loss by Cheyenne Central.

Laramie is coming off a 34-28 loss to No. 3 Cheyenne East, where they mounted a late rally with two scores in the final 90 seconds but were unable to overcome the deficit. Kelly Walsh enters the matchup with a 3-5 record following a 37-0 shutout loss to Natrona County. The Trojans are characterized by a heavy rushing attack, averaging 218 yards per game on the ground.
