Laranjeiras do Sul commissions approve agroindustrial development projects

The legislative commissions of the Laranjeiras do Sul City Council have approved the processing of projects aimed at boosting local agroindustrial development.

Specifically, Bill No. 022/2026 proposes the replacement of the current concessionaire, Agro Laranjeiras Agropecuária e Comércio LTDA, with Lar Cooperativa Agroindustrial. This concession is dedicated to the implementation and operation of an agroindustrial enterprise focused on the production of weaned piglets to strengthen the local swine production chain.

The proposed concession would remain in effect until December 31, 2035. Under the terms of the project, the outgoing company remains responsible for all obligations and irregularities occurring prior to the transition, while Lar Cooperativa will assume full responsibility for future investments, works, licensing, and established goals.
