Laravel AI ecosystem expands with new governance gateway and SDK updates

New developments in the Laravel ecosystem are enhancing AI integration and governance for developers. MageTech has introduced the Laravel AI Gateway, a production-grade governance layer designed to work alongside the official Laravel AI SDK.

The gateway provides enterprise features including prompt management with versioning, model routing with automatic provider fallback, and cost tracking. It also introduces security and administrative controls such as rate limiting, usage quotas for tenants, audit logging with PII masking, and response caching to reduce provider calls.

Additionally, updates to the Laravel AI SDK (version 0.10.3) now allow developers to access raw HTTP responses. This enables access to provider-specific data, such as rate limit headers and request IDs, which were previously unreachable through the standard typed response objects.
