Laredo dependency care staff protest for more resources
Staff at the Centro de Atención a la Dependencia (CAD) in Laredo have organized a protest to demand increased human resources and improved care standards. Supported by the union CSIF Cantabria, workers are calling for staffing levels that reflect the actual needs of users rather than relying solely on fixed ratios.
Employees argue that current staffing models fail to account for the varying degrees of dependency among users. They emphasize that individuals with high dependency require significantly more assistance for daily activities than those with greater autonomy. The mobilization aims to bring these concerns to the attention of the ICASS and the Parliament of Cantabria to ensure adequate and quality care.
