Polish fire brigades combat major blazes in Złaków Borowy, Stanisławów Pierwszy and Kruszyn

On 16 June, a large agricultural fire broke out in Złaków Borowy (gmina Zduny). The blaze destroyed the roof of a farm building, 350 m² of stored hay, 150 bales of straw, feed, two grain tanks and forced the evacuation of 350 swine. Eighty‑four firefighters from multiple volunteer units fought the fire for more than five hours, with total damages estimated at 258 000 zł.

Two days later, at 04:43 on 18 June, a passenger car caught fire on a road in Stanisławów Pierwszy. Firefighters from OSP Kąty Węgierskie and the JRG Legionowo extinguished the vehicle after about an hour, preventing spread to nearby vegetation. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

On 17 June, a powder‑coating plant in Kruszyn near Bydgoszcz suffered a fire that damaged the coating furnace, machinery and part of the hall, covering roughly 100 m². Four employees were evacuated safely before the fire was contained by the regional fire service. The likely trigger was a furnace failure; no one was hurt.
