Large metal object found in Minnesota corn field

A large, metallic object approximately 11 feet in diameter was discovered by a farmer harvesting corn in Scott Township, Minnesota. The Stevens County Sheriff's Office confirmed the presence of the debris, which exhibited charring suggesting it had been exposed to extreme heat, likely during atmospheric reentry.

While initial speculation included extraterrestrial origins, officials noted the object featured printed serial numbers. Investigations by state and federal agencies are underway to identify the debris and coordinate its removal. Authorities have stated there is no danger to the public.

Technical analysis suggests the object may be debris from a Chinese Zhuque-2E rocket developed by LandSpace. The rocket reportedly released satellites into orbit before burning up over the American Midwest in mid-September, an event captured on video in several locations including Minnesota and Wisconsin.
