Large snake spotted on rooftops in Guayas after heavy rains

A large snake was spotted moving across rooftops in the Bahía de Pedro Carbo, Guayas, following intense rainfall in the region. Local merchants and pedestrians observed the reptile navigating the upper structures of buildings in the busy commercial sector.

While residents suggested the animal might be a boa constrictor, known locally as a ‘matacaballos’, this identification has not been officially confirmed by specialists. The appearance of the snake coincided with heavy precipitation that caused flooding and water accumulation in various parts of Guayas, including sectors of Guayaquil such as Urdesa and the road to Daule.
