Large trees fall in Albacete and Guadalajara following weather events

In Albacete, Spain, a large tree collapsed in the Plaza Mayor early Sunday morning. The incident occurred in a central, highly frequented area during the city's traditional Sunday market. Local firefighters and police cordoned off the area to ensure public safety and manage the removal of the specimen. While recent rainfall in the region may be a factor, the tree appears to have given way at its base.

In Guadalajara, a tree fell near the Concordia Park pigeon loft on Saturday evening due to wind and rain. The tree landed on a roadway at the intersection of La Carrera and María Pacheco streets, dragging several cables with it. Local police confirmed that the affected cables were not electrified, preventing electrical hazards. Firefighters were deployed to clear the roadway, and no injuries were reported.
