Greek opposition parties criticize Mitsotakis following Thessaloniki Fair announcements

Political opposition in Greece has intensified following Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis's announcements at the Thessaloniki International Fair (DTG). Various political parties, including PASOK, SYRIZA, KKE, and the Greek Left Coalition (ELAS), have criticized the government's economic measures and strategic vision.

Opposition leaders have targeted the government's handling of the cost of living, inflation, and agricultural issues. PASOK representatives argued that the Prime Minister's promises lack substance and fail to address the needs of the middle class and farmers. Similarly, SYRIZA criticized the Prime Minister's foreign policy and his perceived lack of a clear national strategy during recent international visits.

Economic criticisms focused on the discrepancy between reported growth figures and the actual purchasing power of citizens. Critics, including Yanis Varoufakis of MeRA25, claimed that despite significant funds from the Recovery Fund, many Greeks remain in economic hardship. Meanwhile, KKE rejected suggestions of potential government coalitions, maintaining its stance against current administration policies.
