Larissa Arts Theatre to host Frida Kahlo performance ‘VIVA LA VIDA’

The Theatrini Culture and Arts Center will present the performance ‘VIVA LA VIDA’ at the Larissa Arts Theatre on Saturday, October 10, at 21:00. Following a successful tour in Magnesia, this production is an experiential journey inspired by the life and work of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.

The performance blends theatre, dance, movement, and music to explore Kahlo’s internal universe. It covers pivotal moments including her serious accident, her passionate relationship with Diego Rivera, her drive for creative freedom, and her relationship with death. The production aims to portray how Kahlo transformed physical pain and personal adversity into artistic strength and female empowerment.

The creative team includes actors Anna Maria Panagiotaki and Eva Voulgari, with direction by Panagiotaki and Voulgari. Eva Voulgari is also responsible for music curation and kinesiology, while Dimitra Kyratsoudi serves as the program coordinator.
