Larissa Correctional Facility commemorates October 28th with theatrical performance

The school group of the Larissa Correctional Facility held a theatrical performance titled ‘APENANTI’ (Opposite) to commemorate the anniversary of October 28, 1940. The production approached the concept of war through a humanistic lens, focusing on personal stories rather than just military battles.

The performance incorporated various artistic elements, including the work ‘Potami’ by Antonis Samarakis and references to Picasso’s ‘Guernica’. It explored themes of conscience, nostalgia, and small acts of humanity amidst the horrors of conflict. The event involved collaboration between educators and trainees from the facility's schools, emphasizing human connection through a symbolic candle-lighting ceremony.
