Larissa da Cruz Morata investigation utilizes 3D scanning

Authorities are utilizing advanced forensic technology to investigate the death of 29-year-old radiology technician Larissa da Cruz Morata in Embu das Artes. Police plan to use a 3D scanner to create a precise mapping of the residence where she was fatally shot in the head.

A necropsy report has confirmed that Morata died from cranial trauma caused by a single gunshot wound. The report details that the projectile entered the left temporal region of the skull and exited through the right side, traveling “from back to front and from left to right.” The bullet was not recovered from the body.

Investigators are also reviewing toxicology results and examining physical evidence found at the scene. The investigation is being supported by a specialized unit from the Department of Homicides and Protection of the Person (DHPP).
