Larissa: Electronic poll evaluates potential candidates for EL.A.S

An electronic poll conducted by RealPolls via the Viber messaging platform is reportedly being used to explore potential candidates for the Greek Left Alliance (EL.A.S.) in Larissa. While the official client of the survey has not been formally announced, reports suggest the research is linked to the electoral planning of Alexis Tsipras’s party ahead of upcoming national elections.

The poll asks participants to rate twelve local political and administrative figures on a four-point scale regarding the likelihood of voting for them. The list of individuals includes former Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food Vassilis Kokkalis, former Mayor of Larissa Apostolos Kalogiannis, and current Mayor of Agia Antonis Gountaras.

Other names appearing in the survey include Thessaly Vice Regional Governors Dimitris Tsetsilas, Natasa Adamopoulou, and Grigoris Gountopoulos, as well as regional councilor Vangelis Apostolou. The list also features local councilors and members of the EL.A.S. National Council and Political Committee, representing a mix of parliamentary experience, local government roles, and party leadership.
