Larissa to host 18th International Film Festival in November 2026

The 18th International Film Festival of Larissa is scheduled to take place from November 16 to November 30, 2026. Organized by the non-profit company Artfools and co-funded by the Thessaly Program (ESPA 2021–2027), the event aims to serve as a hub for both Greek and international cinema.

The festival features five competitive short film categories: International, Greek, Animation, Climate Change, and Lumina, which focuses on international films created with Artificial Intelligence. The program includes educational activities and tributes to established creators, notably featuring Greek director Yannis Smaragdis, who will participate in a screening of his film, “Kapodistrias.”
