Larissa hosts 24th Panhellenic Volunteer Blood Donor Torchlight Procession

Larissa is hosting the 24th Panhellenic Torchlight Procession of Volunteer Blood Donors. The event is scheduled to begin at 20:00, starting from the First Ancient Theater of Larissa.

The procession will travel through major central streets and squares, including Papastasiou, Central Square, Kouma, Roosevelt, Post Office Square, Asklipiou, Ermou, and Venizelou, before returning to the First Ancient Theater for a central ceremony. The event features a performance of the ‘Song of Blood Donation’ by students from the 23rd Primary School of Larissa.

The initiative is co-organized by the Municipality of Larissa, the Phalanis Volunteer Blood Donors Association, and the 5th Health Region of Thessaly and Central Greece. It is held under the auspices of the National Blood Center (EKEA) and the Hellenic Thalassemia Federation, with support from EKAV and the Hellenic Police.
