Larissa hosts inaugural Astiko Gledi traditional music festival
The inaugural ‘Astiko Gledi’ festival, a celebration of Greek musical tradition, took place at the Neapoli Covered Market in Larissa. The event drew over 4,000 attendees, including 710 participants who traveled from various regions across Greece, lending the festival a national character.
The musical program featured several prominent traditional singers, including Antonis Kyritsis, Panagiotis Lalezas, Stavroula Daliani, Alexis Parcharidis, and Nikos Zapartas, accompanied by a large ensemble of musicians.
Organized by the ‘Chorokyklo’ Cultural Association in collaboration with the Region of Thessaly and the Municipality of Larissa, the event was free to the public and attended by several local officials and members of parliament.
