Larissa liberation anniversary: Charakopoulos calls for national unity

Maximos Charakopoulos, General Secretary of the New Democracy Parliamentary Group and MP for Larissa, issued a statement marking the 145th anniversary of the liberation of Larissa from Turkish rule. He emphasized the importance of national unity and vigilance in a world characterized by aggressive revisionism and geopolitical fluidity.

Charakopoulos highlighted the necessity of upgrading Greece's armed forces and maintaining constant readiness. He also expressed condolences to the families of two military pilots lost in a recent tragic incident, noting that such losses underscore the high price paid for maintaining peace. He further criticized neighbors who act outside the framework of international law and challenge Greek sovereignty.
