Larissa Municipal Conservatory to host inaugural musicology symposium
The Larissa Municipal Conservatory will host its first musicological symposium, titled ‘Creative Approaches to Musical Performance,’ on October 17 and 18, 2026. Organized in collaboration with the Deputy Mayor of Culture and the Research Group for Musical Performance and Analysis of the Greek Musicological Society, the event aims to bridge the gap between musical practice and contemporary research.
The two-day program includes lectures, analytical approaches, presentations of modern theoretical fields, and workshop lessons. It is designed for musicologists, professional musicians, professors, and students.
International and domestic experts will participate, including conductor Joan Grimalt from the High Music School of Catalonia, pianist Alberto Nones from the ‘G. Rossini’ Conservatory in Italy, and several prominent Greek academics and musicians such as Nikos Tsouchlos, Loreta Ramou, Galateia Daskalaki, Kostas Hardas, and Christos Lenoutsos.
