Larissa municipality advances park memory and stadium upgrades

The Municipality of Larissa is carrying out a series of urban renewal projects. Work on the Old Cemetery of Larissa is progressing toward a new Park of Memory and History, with a budget of about €1.3 million. The redesign includes bioclimatic features, improved lighting, accessible pathways for people with disabilities, and spaces for cultural and outdoor activities.

At the same time, the city is upgrading its sports facilities. New stands and a roof have been installed at the Koukoulitsios‑Mousiaris football field in the municipal sports core, following similar renovations at the G. Mitsibonas stadium. Mayor Thanasios Mamako inspected the works, emphasizing the importance of these venues for local youth, clubs and community events. Further improvements are planned for other football fields in the area.
