Larissa Municipality nears completion of Memory and History Park

The Municipality of Larissa is in the final stages of developing the Memory and History Park at the Old Cemetery. The project, which has a budget of approximately 1.3 million euros, aims to create a vital space for historical and cultural activities.

The development includes extensive landscaping and bioclimatic interventions designed to improve the thermal balance of the area, particularly during summer months. The park will feature outdoor spaces for educational and cultural events, creating a connection between the Old Cemetery and the Folklore Historical Museum of Larissa.

Key features of the project include full accessibility for persons with disabilities and the integration of sustainable elements such as optimized lighting and strategic plant selection to manage the local topography and climate.
